Volunteering on the Work Site
The Greater Erie Area Habitat for Humanity has provided homeownership opportunities for more than 50 families in the Erie area including 4 in Union City for over 20 years. Currently we are working on 2 houses. Check out more on our current builds here.
We work on the construction sites on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 8 am to 12 pm. We also work two shifts on Saturday's from 8 am to 12 pm and from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
All volunteers must fill out a waiver and schedule before they can come out to the worksite.
To volunteer on a Habitat worksite, you must be 16 years of age or older. There is no experience required and we will provide all of the tools. A waiver can be obtained by downloading the forms below, or by e-mailing the volunteer coordinator with any questions.
Volunteers will need to fill out the waiver and review the worksite guidelines. Once the waiver is complete & the guidelines have been reviewed, return the waiver to the Habitat for Humanity office located at 413 East 9th, Street, Erie, PA, 16503. Please note: waivers must have an original signature and therefore cannot be faxed or emailed.
Once the office has received it, you will receive a phone call or an e-mail letting you know that your paperwork is completed and you are eligible to schedule at any time. Note: If you just show up at the worksite without scheduling, you will be sent home.
